Good health is important for everyone, regardless of age. However, when people lack access to sufficient food or can only afford low nutritional value options, their health suffers significantly. A well-nourished body is better equipped to fight diseases, recover form illnesses and maintain overall well-being and quality of life.
We recognise the critical relationship between nutrition and health and are committed to addressing malnutrition and promoting healthy living. Our health and nutrition programs go beyond just providing meals. We focus on improving access to nutritious food for vulnerable and poor households that will impact their health and well-being. We work with food banks and partners nationwide to address food insecurity, nutrition, and health.
We also develop research that focuses on the roles that food, community-based interventions, healthcare and food banks partnerships play in improving outcomes.
