Lift Project

At a glance

  • We work alongside families, communities, local and state government and other and other partners to implement community-based programs, and contribute research expertise and funding  to achieve the objectives of the lift project.
  • We focus on communities that need us most and where we believe can have the greatest impact.
  • We collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop solutions, listen to the people  and communities about their needs and circumstances, respond to emerging challenges and opportunities, and work to catalyze innovative thinking for lasting growth.
Overview

The Lift project is an initiative designed to tackle hunger and poverty in Nigeria by harnessing the power of community engagement, data-driven insights, and sustainable solutions. At its core, Lift takes a town hall approach to bring together community members, local leaders, and stakeholders to share experiences, identify challenges, and co-create solutions.

Objectives of the Lift Project:

  • To amplify community voices: Lift ensures that community concerns and ideas shape solutions.
  • To create long-term growth: It addresses root causes of poverty and hunger, driving sustainable economic growth.
  • To develop human capital: Through education, skills training, and health interventions for improved well-being
  • To develop data-driven insights: Informed decision-making through accurate, reliable data.
  • To create sustainable solutions: Context-specific, community-led initiatives for long-term impact.
  • To promote gender equity: It prioritises women’s economic empowerment,
  • To capture Informal Sector: By formalising and enhancing productivity in the informal sector.
